Artery of Percheron Infarction: MRI

42 year old male with sudden onset altered sensorium and hypersomnolence. MRI shows This is right PCA with artery of percheron infarct. He was admitted 5 days back. His sensorium rather than drowsy is that of hypersomnolence. One of the classical presentations of artery of percheron. Bilateral thalamic and midbrain involvement is there. Splenial involvement could be due to affection of splenial branch of PCA.  Case Contributed by Dr Rahul Rajeev, DM (Neurology Std)
