The Focused Ultrasound Foundation held its biennial awareness event in Charlottesville, Virginia, on May 22. The audience included clinicians, patients, donors, community members, and the Foundation’s Board of Directors and Council.
In January the Foundation welcomed six interns from the University of Virginia for their capstone projects. This year’s students included 2019 graduates from both the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy and the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
As reported earlier this year, experts gathered at the end of February and early March for a Foundation-sponsored workshop to discuss the role of focused ultrasound in treating pancreatic cancer.
