Cutaneous histopathology of the tick‐bite region in severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome
AbstractA case of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) in which a skin biopsy from the tick‐bite region was analyzed is reported. The patient was a 72‐year‐old woman who developed fever and thrombocytopenia after a tick bite. SFTS was diagnosed from polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis of a blood sample. Histopathological analysis of a skin biopsy specimen from the tick‐bite region showed CD20‐positive perivascular and interstitial immunoblastic cells, which were positive...

Dental root abnormalities in four children with PHACE syndrome
AbstractPHACE(S) syndrome is a condition characterized by posterior fossa malformations, hemangiomas, arterial anomalies, cardiac defects, eye abnormalities, sternal cleft, and supraumbilical raphe. We present four children with PHACE(S) syndrome who have absence of or severe malformation of the roots of their permanent first molars (PFMs). Root abnormalities in the children's molars were bilateral and not restricted to the segments affected by cutaneous hemangioma. The reason for root abnormalities...

Investigation of Different Prototropic Forms of Biologically Active Flavin Lumichrome in the Presence Liposome
AbstractHerein we reported the photophysical behavior of lumichrome (LC), one of the biologically active flavin molecule, in the presence of small unilamellar vesicle of anionic lipid 1,2‐dimyristoyl‐sn‐glycero‐3‐phosphocholine (DMPC). With the help of different spectroscopic techniques, we have proposed that anionic DMPC liposome interact with the cationic dye LC in ground state, and in excited state and modulate the spectral properties of LC. Photophysical study reveals that different prototropic...
